Working day

Hello to every one who like to visit my site. Amillion thank you for keeping in touch with me. It has been quite a long time since i write a thing in here. In fact, i still have not write a thing about Convocation part 2, i mean a story about my convocation day, the day after and even in here i hve not yet share any photo about the glory day. I would like to share the photo in my next entry asap, perhaps. If and only i hve time to edit the photo. However, the day after my convocation i did attend an interview in Bangi, Selangor. Company? Is where i work currently. It is an MNC. A Japanese company. Company motto = Like No Other! Do you familiar with this phrase? Yes, currently i work in Sony. Sony EMCS South plant, Bangi, Malaysia. All sony staffs in the world familiar with the name SOEM for this plant. My job title currently is Management Training Engineer. I have 2 and half months before i’m qulified as an official SOEM engineer, 1 moth left. I work for TV biz group, means engineering to make LCD TV. TV Engineering - Mechanical Engineering department. Ill tell about it more in my next next next entry… dont know when, because currently it is hard to steal time for internet activity. That’s all for this entry. i’ll tell about my self and share more knowledge with you out there in my next entry. Thank you for reading. c u then…

Convocation, Part 1

A chapter of my life is ending…
it’s time to say goodbye to classmates, lecturers, classes and labs…
exams, quizzes, burning the midnight oil mugging for exams, group projects…you name it..
being broke before the next allowance…
being carefree students, roaming around the faculty hallways, clc concourse…
having fun on campus, ‘lepak’ at mamak at 3pm, watching football with classmates…
all these will be kept as sweet memories of my life…

Life as University students was always fondly remembered as one of the best times in a person’s life…
No doubt, you’ll feel the same way too… Congratulations to me and my classmates…

Visit Melaka: Jonker Walk

Located in the heart of Melaka city is the quaint, evergreen jonker walk, a pedestrian mall-cum-bazaar where you would curios, trinkets, knick-knacks, potteries, souvenirs and so course food on fridays and over weekends from 6pm onwards.

Thousand of visitors have visited jonker walk according to one retailer there and they claim look foward to coming here again..

Besides eateries, you even find a motorcycle shop that specialized in big bikes smacked in the middle Joker Walk at one time known as Jonker Street.

There is without doubt that Jonker is the place to grab the best food of Melaka. Grab a bite of one of the best pineapple tarts in Melaka, perhaps Malaysia, authentic Nyonya Cendol or simply enjoy the world famous Chiken Riceball of Melaka and seasonal food like Mooncakes and so on all here in Jonker Walk.

back again

It has been a long time since I added an entry here! Unfortunately, over the last months I have been way too busy and i shut off my blog to maintenance mode. Stress, pressure, a man need to be applied with a pressure safety valve to let out the high pressure out from the tank (picking up what zidni said about controlling a man’s life pressure.. hahaha).

A lot of things happened recently. I had finished my final year project with an average grade but i still have something to do with my degree. I’m an average student or maybe a lousy one. And recently, a lot of ideas coming out from my head and i’m having problem to separate the best. But i did choose one and i hope i had made a right decision. Millions thanks to my love one, my advisor. By the way, thanks to everyone who is spending time to read my writings that not good in any circumstances. I promise to myself that in my next entry i’ll write something that benefit to me and you out there. thanks..

Fyp Final Report

Final Year Project Title: A predictive cutting force model for end milling

Final Year Project Supervisor: Senior Lecturer: Dr. Lee Tian Soon (click here for his details)
Final Year Project Moderator: Associate Professor: Dr. Tio Kek Kiong (click here for his details)

Abstract:
There are several proposed predictive cutting force model in machining industry. Engineers are keeping developing a new model to predict cutting forces. The cutting forces are the response that influenced by several factors during machining. A more precise, low cost and sustainable cutting performance are results of a good model.

This project is about a predictive cutting force model for end milling assessment. It is an investigation on the model whether it is valid or not. The methods of investigation are simulations and experiments. Throughout the project, the investigator demonstrated a comprehensive way to evaluate the model. It was achieved through the combination experimentally determined cutting forces with the C++ codes simulation program and statistics analysis (multiple regression method). The model was tested using two flutes end milling cutting tools with several factors. In this project, the factors that response the forces were spindle speed, feed rate and axial depth of cut. At the end of the project paper, the investigator proved that the particular model is good to predict the end milling cutting forces.

Final Year Project Description:
The main purpose for this project was to identify cutting forces of end milling from experimental data. It was an investigation on validation of the theoretical 3D model of cutting force in end milling with analysis on the experiment data. This analysis process involved the use of simulation program developed using Microsoft Visual Basic and large matrix analysis using MATlab software. At the end of the analysis, Minitab statistics analysis software was used to do the multiple linear regressions which are to predict the forces. There are several reasons why information from material removal is important which were obtained from this research:
1. To improve the cutting techniques.
2. To produce products of greater precision at greater useful life.
3. To obtain the ability to increase the rate of production and cutting performance.
3D dimensional cutting force formulation. It was a case study of particularly flat end milling cutting tools.
